Trivang Bhasma also spelt Trivanga Bhasma, is an ayurvedic proprietary medication that is primarily indicated for urinary infections, impotency, nocturnal emission, diabetes, frequent urination, recurrent miscarriages, leucorrhea, infertility and general weakness. Its main effect or Prabhab usually appears on the urinary bladder, ovaries, uterus, testes, pancreas and nerves. Hence, it is generally used for diseases occurring in these organs.
What is Trivang Bhasma?
Trivang Bhasma is a calcined formulation that is mainly composed of three metallic ingredients which are Vang (Tin), Naga (Lead), and Yashad (Zinc) in equal quantities. The metallic mixture is then triturated using Aloe Vera Juice and Turmeric (Haldi) and then heated or calcined to getTrivang Bhasma.
How Is Trivang Bhasma Prepared?
Ingredients:
1 part each of:
Yashad Bhasma
Kumari swaras (Aloe vera juice)
Haldi (Turmeric)
Method:
Take the purified vanga, naga and yashad bhasma in a thick-bottomed container and heat it
As the lead slowly , add turmeric with constant stirring until the metallic mixture turns into a powder form
Put this powdered compound in an iron pot, cover it with a lid and subject it to high flame for 13-14 hours
As the mixture turns red, turn off the flame and allow it to cool
Strain the mixture to remove impurities using a muslin cloth
Triturate the mixture using aloe vera juice
After the mixture dries naturally, put it in a closed iron vessel and again subject it to high flame (7 times or 7 putas)
The resultant yellow-hued powder obtained after several hours is Trivang Bhasma
Store the medicine in amber-coloured, glass bottles, away from sunlight for future use

Vanga Bhasma:
Tin also known as Vanga in Ayurveda and purified calcined tin gives Vang Bhasma.
