How To Prepare Pancharishta?

Ingredients:

Draksha (Dried Grapes) - Vitis vinifera

Kumari or Aloe vera juice – Aloe barbadensis

Dashamoola (Combination of ten roots)

Ashwagandha - Withania somnifera

Shatavari - Asparagus racemosus

Triphala (Combination of three herbs, i.e. Amlaki, Bahera, and Haritaki)

Guduchi - Tinospora cordifolia

Bala - Sida cordifolia

Yashtimadhu or Licorice - Glycyrrhiza glabra

Trikatu (Combination of three herbs, i.e. Kali Mirch, Pippali and Sunthi)

Trijat (Combination of three herbs, i.e. Dalchini, Elaichi, and Tejpatra)

Method:

Wash the herbal ingredients and sundry them completely to remove moisture.

Powder the decoction herbs and sieve them to remove impurities and solid particles.

Immerse the decoction herbs in a specific quantity of water and soak it overnight.

In the morning, boil the decoction and reduce the quantity to ¼ and pass it through a muslin cloth to eradicate impurities.

Now, pour the decoction in a wide-mouthed vessel, and seal the opening of the container.

Keep it aside in the fermentation room and allow it to ferment.

Keep a check on the fermentation process.

Once the fermentation is done, filter the fermented liquid through a muslin cloth to eliminate solid particles and impurities.

Pour the concoction in air-tight containers, and store it in a cool dry place for maturation.
