What Is Amalaki Rasayan?

3 kg Amla Churna (Amalaki Powder)

16 kg Amla Swaras (Amla Juice)

3 Kg Cow’s Ghee

3 Kg Honey

300 grams Pippali Churna (Long Pepper Powder)

600 grams of Misri (crystallized sugar lumps) powder

Method of Preparation:

Clean, deseed, dry and ground fresh amla fruits into a fine paste.

Take the powder in a mortar and pestle and mix amla juice, honey and ghee in specific proportions to get a homogeneous mixture.

Depending on the recipe, additional herbs like pippali or ashwagandha are powdered and mixed into the paste.

Keep the mixture in an ash heap for about 4 months before the onset of monsoons.

After completion of 4 months, remove it from the ash heap.

Store the rasayana in airtight containers for future use to enhance its shelf life and potency.
