Who Is At Increased Risk?

Although dry orgasms may have the above-mentioned causes, people who have had a radical prostatectomy (surgery to remove the prostate) will experience dry orgasms as the prostate and the nearby seminal glands are taken out during the procedure. Patients with pelvic surgery to treat prostate and testicular cancer and diabetic people are also at an increased risk.

How Is Orgasmic Anejaculation Diagnosed?

To diagnose the problem of a dry orgasm, the doctor may ask a series of questions about the current symptoms besides the medication usage if any. They will also ask for a detailed report on any recent procedures done to the area around the groin. A physical examination of the penis, testicles, and the rectum may also be conducted. The health practitioner may also examine the semen but only after you have climaxed. This lets them determine and make a diagnosis if the issue is of dry orgasm or a problem of retrograde ejaculation.

Treatment Of  Orgasmic Anejaculation

Conceiving a child is one of the main difficulties that couples face due to men with anejaculation disorders. Therefore, many people take it as a serious health concern. The most common treatment for anejaculation is either psychological counseling to address underlying causes, sexual therapy, or a combination of both. There are many ways to trigger ejaculation or retrieve sperm which can be done after deciding the cause of this problem and deciding the appropriate course of treatment. A timely diagnosis and accurate course of treatment lead to successful results. Various treatment options are available depending on the underlying cause of anejaculation. For instance, if ejaculation is caused by an infection, then the doctor aims to treat the infection which promises improvement. If it is due to certain drugs or anti-depressants, a change in them may help to take care of dry orgasm issues. Sometimes the problem can be temporary, situational, or related to psychological stress. In such cases, counseling is suggested to alleviate stress and hence restore normal function. If your dry orgasms are caused by retrograde ejaculation, the doctor may prescribe medication to help keep the bladder and neck muscles closed during climax.
