Homemade Vegan Face Packs

Cucumber-Mint Face Pack

face 1

Ingredients:

3 tbsp cucumber (grated)

½ tbsp lemon zest

2-3 mint leaves

1 drop of tea tree oil

Method:

Take the grated cucumber in a small bowl

Add the crushed mint leaves, lemon juice and tea tree oil to it

Blend all the ingredients to get a creamy paste

Apply this cooling mixture evenly on your face and neck

Let it dry out completely for at least 15-20 minutes

Wash your face with lukewarm water

How It Works:

The abundance of silica in cucumber unclogs the skin pores and brightens the skin. While the combo of lemon and tea tree oil combats acne and skin discolouration, mint bestows a cooling effect on the skin and soothes any skin inflammation.

Coffee-Oatmeal Face Pack

facw 2

Ingredients:

1 tbsp coffee grounds

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp rolled oats

2 tbsp almond milk

Method:

Mix all the components in a glass bowl to get a paste-like consistency

Smear the face pack all over the face and neck

Allow the face pack to parch for at least 30 minutes

Mildly scrub and wash off with lukewarm water and apply a mild moisturizer afterwards

How It Works:

Enriched in antioxidants and exfoliative qualities, coffee scourges away dead skin cells, promotes collagen production and protects the skin from oxidative damage. While cocoa powder being abundant in Vitamin C, magnesium, and Omega 6 fatty acids, stimulates blood flow and encourages cellular repair, almond milk improves the elasticity and flexibility of the skin. The addition of oatmeal prevents bacterial growth in the form of acne and pimples while leaving you with a youthful and luminous glow.

Banana -Turmeric Face Pack

face 3

Ingredients:

½ ripe banana (mashed)

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp coconut milk

Method:

Best all the components to get a gooey paste

Dab the pack all over your face and neck

Let it settle and dry for 20 minutes

Rinse your face with lukewarm water

How It Works:

Being an excellent source of potassium, and vitamin A and dominant hydrating properties, banana cleanses the skin pores and makes the skin soft and supple. The active component of curcumin in turmeric diminishes the appearance of scars, dark spots, blemishes, fine lines and pigmentation. While baking soda to the mix readily rides the skin of dirt and grime particles, coconut milk hydrates and moisturizes the skin to bestow a dewy, soft, dazzling glow.
