Dressed in comfy, cute pyjamas, the actress-producer described oil pulling as a mouth cleansing method, which she does daily in the morning. The Sui Dhaaga actress wrote, “My morning ritual of oil pulling in the company of my sweet-smoosh-doggo Dude! Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practise known as 'Kavala' or 'Gundusha', a dental technique that involves swishing little oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for few minutes and then spitting it out. This action is excellent for dental hygiene and health and also draws out toxins in the body. As we are all using this time to take better care of our health and improve our immunity I thought of sharing this. Hopefully, it will be as beneficial to you too."
In fact, oil pulling – the method of squishing a little amount of edible oil around the mouth for a few minutes before brushing the teeth, is widely recommended by Ayurveda. Traditional practitioners vouch by this method for easing those symptoms related to migraine, stress headaches, asthma, flushing out of toxins and even asthma. It is also a popular home remedy for getting those bright, white teeth in a jiffy.

How To Do Oil Pulling?
Oil pulling is an inexpensive and easy method.
Take a tablespoon of either coconut, sesame, sunflower or olive oil on empty stomach and swish it around your mouth for 10 to 15 minutes.
Do not swallow it. Even if you swallow in little amounts, nothing to worry.
Wait till the oil turns frothy and spit it out.
Rinse the mouth and brush properly with a toothpaste.
