DIY 3-Step Facial Using Grapes
Step 1: Cleansing
Grapes-Rose Water Cleanser
Ingredients:
3 tbsp fresh grape juice
2 tbsp rose water
1 tbsp cucumber zest
Method:
Mix the ingredient using a blender to get a homogeneous liquid
Dip a cotton ball in it
Jab the moist cotton ball all over the washed face for 5 minutes to remove grime and dust particles
Rinse with cool water
How It Works:
Grapes have a slightly acidic nature and are fuelled with powerful skin-lightening properties. Alongside cucumber, they scourge the facial pores to remove grime, reduce the size of the bigger ones and induce a calming effect. The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial nature of rose water lessens redness and acne, nurtures the skin from deep within, and brightens the complexion.
After properly cleansing the face, boil some water and allow your face to absorb the steam by covering your head with a towel. This action further helps to open up the pores for deep cleansing.
Step 2: Exfoliation
Grape - Orange Peel Scrub
Ingredients:
3 tbsp grape juice
2 tbsp orange peel powder (coarse)
1 tbsp honey
2-3 drops of grape seed oil
Method:
Whip all the ingredients in a small bowl to get a coarse paste
Smear it all over the face
Next, slowly massage the skin in a circular upward motion for 15-20 minutes
Wash off with a cotton sponge dipped in lukewarm water
How It Works:
Enriched with antioxidants and vitamin C, the dynamic duo of grape juice and orange peel powder help safeguard the skin from UV damage and arrest the signs of ageing making the skin look more radiant and rejuvenated than ever. While honey moisturizes the skin and prevents bacterial infections, grape seed oil lightens acne scars, and blemishes and evens skin tone.
After exfoliating the skin, use a mixture of 8-10 mashed grapes, 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel and 2 drops of vitamin E oil to massage the face for 20 minutes and then wash off.
Grapes-Curd Fruit Pack
Ingredients:
10 grapes (mashed)
½ apple (mashed)
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp hung curd
Method:
Blend all the components to get a smooth, gooey paste
Apply this pack evenly onto the face and neck
Let it dry completely for half an hour
Rinse your face with normal water, pat dry and apply a light moisturiser
How It Works:
The abundance of antioxidants and polyphenols in apples readily stimulates the skin to build collagen and protect it from photodamage and environmental pollutants. While the presence of active ingredient resveratrol in grapes helps reverse ageing signs and reduce spots and marks, curd hydrates and nourishes the skin whereas lemon juice fades blemishes while bestowing a natural youthful glow.
