HDL is the good cholesterol that aids to remove LDL (bad) cholesterol from the body and lowers the risk of stroke. While LDL is the bad cholesterol that raises the risk of heart attack or stroke, too much LDL build-up in the arteries can lead to plaque formation and restrict blood flow. A high LDL can be a concern, but your doctor may suggest ways to reduce cholesterol levels.

Thin people need not worry about their cholesterol levels
