Today is Ganesha Chaturthi and on this day the deity is revered by everyone for clearing obstacles, bringing in prosperity, success, wisdom, health and happiness.

As per the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Chaturthi is observed on the Shukla Paksha Chaturthi or month of Bhadrapada. The festivity of Ganesh Chaturthi continues for 10 days and ends on Anant Chaturdashi, also called as Ganesh Visarjan day. On the tenth day devotees immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha in water after a gala procession, however, this year due to COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions the festival will be a toned-down affair.
