Sweet Sour Galgal Chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 large Himalayan lemons
  • 3 tbsp jaggery
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp black onion seeds
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp asafetida
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Cut the Himalayan lemons into small cubes without removing the outer layer
  • Steam them until they become tender
  • Coat the steamed Himalayan lemons with turmeric, salt, and mustard oil
  • Keep it aside and let it cool
