Coolora Mouthwash is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory mouthwash which is used for the relief of pain and inflammation of the mouth and throat. It is used in conditions such as acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis and stomatitis including traumatic conditions like pharyngitis following tonsillectomy and oral ulceration due to radiation therapy and in oral mucositis. It contains benzydamine as an active ingredient to reduce pain and inflammation of the mouth and throat.
Benzydamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting the formation of prostaglandins (chemicals that produce pain and inflammation). Also, it acts as a local anaesthetic which numbs the affected area which provides additional pain relief.
Always use coolora mouth wash as directed by your doctor. For usage, rinse or gargle with 15ml of coolora mouth wash (approximately 1 tablespoonful) for every 1 ½ to 3 hours for pain relief. Use it undiluted, but if stinging occurs dilute with water. It should be expelled from the mouth after use. It is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age. When used beyond 7 days it should be used under medical supervision.
