It is used to relieve pain and relax muscles during the management or examination of anal fissures, thrombosed external haemorrhoids, post-haemorrhoidectomy, anal sphincter hypertonia, etc.
An anal fissure is a small cut or tear in the delicate lining of the anus that occurs when passing hard or large stools, causing pain and bleeding during bowel movements. Sometimes the pain caused by the anal fissure leads to contraction of the muscle that controls bowel movements and frequent bowel movements.
