Tagar/ Tagara/ Tagar-ganthoda/ Indian Valerian [Botanical Name: Valeriana wallichii] is a plant indigenous to the temperate Himalayas, Khasia hills, Found in Kashmir & Bhutan at a altitude of 3000 mts. Tagara is said to be native to Europe and parts of Asia but also grows in North America. Medicine is made from the root.
