Migraine is a condition often characterized by an intense headache. Most people have this problem between the age of 10 to 40 and in many cases, it remains undiagnosed and untreated and is more common in women. Migraines are believed to be a neurovascular disorder with evidence supporting a mechanism starting from the brain and then spreading towards the blood vessels. Migraines headaches are often felt on one side of the head but in some cases, it may also be bilateral. It is often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
