If you are not a great fan of chemical infused cleansing products, try these simple and effective natural cleansers at home with very easily available ingredients. Take up this easy task for a sparkling and germ free home.
Home Made Cleansers:
1. Glass Cleanser
Glass cleanser works good for windows, mirrors and all other glass items.
Materials
2 cups Water
1/2 cup White vinegar
1/4 cup Rubbing Alcohol (also known as surgical spirit)
1-2 drops of any essential oil
Spray bottle
Clean cloth
Method
Combine all the ingredients water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol and essential oil together and put them in a spray bottle.
Apply a little on a clean cloth and wipe down the glass for a crystal-clear image.
For best results avoid cleaning windows on a hot day, as the solution dries up quickly and leave lines on the glass.
2. Kitchen Purifier
This purifier functions well on kitchen counters, gas tops, appliances and the inside the refrigerator.
Materials
4 tbsp baking soda
1 litre warm water
Sponge or soft cloth
Method
Stir in the baking soda and warm water, give it a good mix, your instant purifier is ready to use.
Soak a sponge or soft cloth into the solution and use it to clean the kitchen.
3. Bathroom disinfectant
Bathroom disinfectant works well on stained bathroom floors and tiles.
Materials
1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide (easily available at any chemist store)
1 tsp liquid dish soap
Sponge
Method
Combine baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dish soap together.
Pour a little more on the area that needs more cleaning and let it stay for 5 minutes.
Use a sponge to scrub away the dirt and then clean the area with water.
4. Grease cleaner
Grease cleaner is a quick fix for sticky items, like grease or the glue left behind by stickers and labels.
Materials
2 tbsp oil
3 tbsp baking soda
Dry cloth
Method
Give a good stir to the oil and baking soda.
Rub the mixture on any grease or glue stains with your hand.
As the stain gets cleared off, swab off the object with a dry cloth.
Store remaining mixture in a sealed container and reuse it.
5. Vessel Cleaner
Vessel cleaner works well on vessels that have gotten burnt and blackened.
Materials
1 cup vinegar
2 tbsp baking soda
1 cup water
Scrubber
Method
Pour water and add the vinegar to the burnt vessel, on the stove and bring it to boil.
Switch off the flame and add baking soda. It will foam up.
Let it stay for 5 minutes and then empty the vessel and scrub it by adding more baking soda if needed.
