Fever is basically an indication that the immune system of human body is fighting foreign antigens. And viral fever is a condition where immune system fights back the entry of viruses in to the body.

Common treatment methods include medications such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen for controlling fever. Doctors recommend proper rest, drinking more fluids to keep the body hydrated, and taking antiviral medicines like Tamiflu, tepid sponging to normalize body temperature.
