Actress Shilpa Shetty who has recently been signed on as brand ambassador for SRL Diagnostics, shared that she has always believed in preventive healthcare. "I go for regular health check-ups as often as necessary. There must be a change the mindset of people from curative to preventive and reduce the prevalence of lifestyle diseases, thereby helping people live longer and healthier lives," she added.

According to media reports, the 43-year-old practises different types of workouts to achieve a sculpted figure. From cardio and strength training in the gym to performing yoga and meditation, the actress is familiar to all the forms of exercises. 

She has divided her workout routine in such a way that she does strength-training exercises on two days, cardio workouts on one day, and Pranayam/Yoga on two days per week. She uses heavy weights to perform the strength-training workouts in order to shape up her upper and lower body muscles.

After practicing Yoga, she meditates for 10 minutes to relieve stress.

In addition to yoga and a regular exercise routine, Shilpa follows a strict diet of healthy foods. This is a sneak peek into her daily diet:

Morning: She starts her day with Aloe Vera or Amla juice followed by porridge and tea with brown sugar.

Lunch: Brown rice/chappati with high fiber ingredients, dal, chicken curry and vegetable.

Evening: One brown bread toast, one egg and green tea.

Dinner: Salads, soup and chicken dish by 8 pm. (IANS)
